
Head to the Microsoft Store and search for “Raw Images Extension,” or go directly to the Raw Image Extension page. It has a nice array of features such as image viewing, management, comparison, red-eye removal, emailing, resizing, cropping, color adjustments, musical slideshow and much more.

You can open a RAW file’s properties window to see the metadata. An image browser, converter and editor that supports all major graphic formats including BMP, JPEG, JPEG 2000, GIF, PNG, PCX, TIFF, WMF, ICO, TGA and camera raw files. The RAW Image Extension enables viewing images in the Photos app as well as thumbnails, previews, metadata of RAW images in File Explorer. The codec for this free extension is brought to you by the people at and doesn’t support every format of RAW images yet.
